Non-toxic to the environment and to humans, sodium carbonate fortifies the laundry detergent and softens hard water.  It's also perfect for the care of cloth diapers.  

Soda Ash, also known as sodium carbonate, soften water and reinforce the effectiveness of household or body care products.

You can use soda ash for its descaling, anti-limescale, cleaning, stain and grease removal properties in all sorts of ways.

To thoroughly clean cloth diapers, mix 20 liters of hot water with 250ml of soda crystals and a few drops of dish soap. This process will remove soap and lime residue. See also your diaper manufacturer's warranty.

To dislodge petroleum products, dilute 75ml of soda ash in 4L of hot water and let soak for 24 hours, then machine wash.
