How to apply DMSO topically.
When applying it directly to your skin use a cotton ball or gauze or preferably with your clean hands. Allow it to dry for about 20 minutes. Then you can wipe off any excess. Avoid using cream or gel as they are not as effective and may carry impurities.
DMSO is a solvent that can dissolve most other substances, so make sure your skin is dry before you put on your clothes.
When DMSO is applied to your skin, you may have a garlicky like taste very soon after and your body may smell like garlic as well. Also there may be a tingling, or slight burning sensation, very similar to mild sunburn, on the areas of application, especially if DMSO is put on a tender area, such as the neck or face.
